New Jersey’s foreclosure rate ranks the worst in the country. The number of homes entering the foreclosure process dropped significantly, but roughly 1800 properties were repossessed by banks last month. RealtyTrac reports that as a 295 percent increase from a year ago. Atlantic City continues to struggle, with one in every 307 homes having a foreclosure filing on it in August, according to RealtyTrac. That is four times the national average.
