NEW JERSEY IS APPROVED FOR $268 MILLION IN FEDERAL FUNDS

Money has been approved for the state to use to help save teacher’s jobs. The application by New Jersey has been approved by the federal government for $268 million. The money can be used in a number of ways to help teachers, but federal lawmakers tout it as a job saving bill. The money is being distributed according to the state’s formula. The New Jersey Education Association has blasted Gov. Chris Christie for not making application sooner to get the dollars.
