NEW JERSEY CAN’T BORROW ANY MORE CASH FOR ROAD PROJECTS

New Jersey cannot borrow any more money to pay for road and bridge projects.  The New Jersey Office of Public Finance announced just before the weekend that the state no longer has any borrowing leverage left to pay for necessary projects.  The state’s transportation trust fund is nearly broke and so far there’s no deal in Trenton to increase the gas tax to pay for these projects.
