NEW ICON WALL UNVEILED IN WILDWOOD

The second Icon Wall Mural was unveiled on Friday in Wildwood, featuring Bill Haley & The Comets. The group was in town for a concert event during The Fabulous Fifties and Beyond Weekend, to mark the 60th anniversary of their song “Rock Around the Clock”. The two living members of the group, Dick Richards and Joey D’Ambrosio, were in attendance for the mural’s debut on the south wall of the Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce building. The Icon Wall Mural project is a concept of GWTIDA, with the intent to beautify selected public spaces and depict how the Wildwoods have evolved over the decades.
