A new partial ban on dogs being on the beach in Lower Township passed along party lines on Monday night. The proposal supported by the Republicans will put a ban in place between Memorial Day and Labor Day daily from 11 am to 4 pm. There have been laws on the books regarding dogs being on leashs and cleaning up after the dogs but without police officers to enforce the laws they haven’t been fully followed. The new law would go into effect Aug. 24 for the last couple of weeks of summer and then be in place for next year.
