A new man will head the Board of Elections in Cape May County. J.B. Feeley is going to replace Peter Trofa as the head of that board. The board is made up of four members, two Republicans and two Democrats. The Press of Atlantic City reports there was a dispute within the Republican party because Trofa was a supporter of John McCann last who, who lost to Gerry Thornton and Susan Sheppard to win the Republican nomination to run for Freeholder in Cape May County. The appointments are made by the party leaders. Michael Donohue, the GOP head in Cape May County, did not reappoint Trofa.
