NEW BILL WOULD RELIEVE SOME COMMERCIAL FISHING BOATS FROM STATE EMPLOYMENT LAWS

A new measure that intends to provide relief to the commercial fishing industry has been approved by a Senate committee.  A bill sponsored by State Senator Michael Testa would free up some commercial fishing boats from the state’s employment law and its expensive tax on earnings.  The Senate Labor Committee approved the measure this week.
