NEW BILL WOULD OPEN UP HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS TO ALL ATHLETES

A new bill was approved by a Senate committee Monday that would allow vo-tech and charter school students to play high school sports even if they don’t attend a traditional high school.  School districts would have to accept athletes who are even home schooled; however, the districts would not be responsible for paying for transportation for these students to attend practices and games.
