What’s the point of collecting highway tolls in New Jersey only to give some drivers a credit towards their tolls? A new bill has been proposed in Trenton that would give some drivers a $1,000 credit towards income taxes in order to help them pay their tolls with EZ Pass. The proposed bill says it will help drivers since toll money is now being used to fund transportation projects throughout the state. Three republicans from central New Jersey have sponsored this new legislation.
