NEARLY THREE DOZEN TEACHERS LAID OFF IN ATLANTIC CITY

Layoffs are hitting the Atlantic City School District very hard. The state announced that 32 teachers are receiving layoff notices in the district despite being tenured. The union that represents the teachers were meeting late in the day on Tuesday to discuss what options, if any, the tenured teachers have.
