NEARLY 20 COPS TO BE LAID OFF IN ATLANTIC CITY

Atlantic City may lay off 18 police officers today. The Press of Atlantic City reports that the layoffs are coming today, and 30 other officers may be demoted by Mayor Lorenzo Langford as a way to save money. PBA President David Davidson says the layoffs and demotions will make the city less safe.
