NBA COMMISSIONERS TALKS WITH OTHER LEAGUES ABOUT SPORTS BETTING

The only major sports commissioner to say he supports the idea of legalized sports betting has been talking with the leaders of the other professional sports leagues. NBA Commissioner Adam Silver told ESPN The Magazine that he has had discussions with the other leagues and that they have assigned people within their organizations to look more closely at the issue. New Jersey has been working to legalize sports betting for at least the state to help Atlantic City see more revenue.
