NBA COMMISSIONER SHOWS SUPPORT FOR SPORTS BETTING

New Jersey’s efforts to legalize sports betting took a positive step last week when NBA Commission Adam Silver voiced his support for legalized sports betting in the country. Silver wrote an op-ed piece for the New York Times in which he said he thought the federal government should create a proper framework for legal sports wagering to take place. Silver noted how much is illegally gambled on sports betting websites that are housed overseas. New Jersey has tried to legalize sports book but has failed in the courts so far.
