The Naval Air Station Wildwood Aviation Museum reopened Monday after a two-month roof repair project. The work began on the roof on Hangar 1 last November, replacing materials on the hangar’s North side, some of which were from the original installation when the hangar was built in 1942. Work on the South side of the hangar is slated for October and is funded by grants and preservation funds at the state and county level. The museum is located at the Cape May County Airport and is open Monday through Friday 10 am to 4 pm, with weekend hours resuming in the spring.
