On Monday the Third Circuit Court of Appeals heard arguments for nearly two hours on why the names on the list of unindicted co-conspirators in the Bridgegate scandal should not revealed to the public. Lawyers for the federal government, the news media, and a “John Doe” unindicted co-conspirator presented their case to the three-judge panel, which must rule on the public’s right to know versus the privacy rights of those who have not officially been charged with a crime. The judges have not set a deadline for their ruling in the case.
