MURDER TRIAL RESULTS IN GUILTY VERDICT FOR PENDER

A man was found guilty of first-degree murder in the death of a Millville man. The jury found Andrew Pender guilty of shooting Charles Jones to death. The shooting took place on June 8, 2006, and justice finally came for the family near four years later. The first-degree murder charge could put Pender behind bars for between 30 years to life. Bail has been rejected and Pender is back in jail. Sentencing will come on Aug. 20.
