On Thursday, September 23rd, Middle Township Police received reports of a multi-vehicle crash in the area of S#47 and Fulling Mill Road in Rio Grande. Upon arrival and investigation, it was found that James M. Walsh, 32 of Rio Grande, had attempted to make a left from Fulling Mill Road onto northbound SH#47. Upon coming onto SH#47 Walsh’s vehicle was struck by a southbound vehicle operated by 35 year old Daniel J. Taylor of North Cape May. Taylor’s vehicle was then forced into a third vehicle that had been northbound on SH#47 being operated by Tina M. Crawley, age 32 of the Villas. All three drivers were transported to Cape Regional Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries. James M. Walsh was issued a summons for careless driving. Also assisting were Court House Rescue, Rio Grande Rescue, Rio Grande Fire Company, Lower Township Rescue and Lower Township Police. The road was closed for approximately 45 minutes.
