A Mullica Township man was killed in a shooting in the township on Sunday, Atlantic County Prosecutor Ted Housel announced.
At approximately 3 p.m., a household member discovered John Kingsbury, 77, shot at a Woodland Avenue residence. Mullica Township Police Department responded to the scene and Mr. Kingsburg was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center Mainland Campus, where he was subsequently pronounced dead.
An autopsy completed Monday morning revealed the cause of death to be two gunshot wounds and the manner of death to be a homicide. No arrests have been made at this time. The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit is leading an investigation into this homicide.
