MOTORCYCLE INVOLVED IN CRASH IN HAMILTON TOWNSHIP

Traffic stopped in front of a motorcycle and the driver lost control causing an accident in Hamilton Township. Police say the incident took place on Route 40 Monday afternoon. Scott Piwowski, 20 year old male from Mays Landing, was operating the motorcycle. When the accident happened, Piwowski served into the on-coming lane of traffic. Duane W. Smith, 43 year old male from Egg Harbor City, was operating his Chevrolet Prism, which struck Piwowski. Piwowski was transported, via helicopter, to Atlantic City Medical Center City Division for treatment of serious leg injuries. Smith sustained no injuries. The crash is under further investigation.
