MORE JOB CUTS LIKELY COMING IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY

A new report says up to 23 people could be let go in Cumberland County. The News of Cumberland County reports that 23 people are on a list that has been submitted to the state’s civil service office. This follows the 11 lay offs that took place earlier this month. Officials say some moves could be made to save some of the jobs, but the plan gives the county the flexibility it might need. Employees will be given 45 day notice if their job is cut.
