The Al Carino Basketball Club of South Jersey announced it’s 2013 Hall of Fame induction class this week and former Wildwood High School guard Monica Johnson is on the list. This week’s Wildwood Leader reports that Johnson will be honored at the annual banquet and induction ceremony on Sunday, February 10th at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Cherry Hill. Johnson is a 2002 graduate of Wildwood High School, who ended her career as the highest scoring high school girls basketball player in South Jersey history, with 3,173 points. Johnson also led the Wildwood Lady Warriors to three straight state Group I championships from 2000-2002. She played at Seton Hall University for one year, before suffering a career-ending knee injury.
