It looks like someone who wanted more cash loaded onto a prepaid card was behind a bomb threat called in to the KMart store in Rio Grande earlier this week. Cape May County Prosecutor Robert Taylor announced that someone phoned the threat into the store demanding money be added onto his so-called Green Dot Moneypak card. If the funds weren’t added, a bomb would go off, according to the person who made the threat. The store was evacuated and no explosive was found. Taylor says scams that involve these cards are currently ongoing in Cape May County.
