The discovery of mold in several South Jersey schools has caused opening day to be pushed back. The Northfield Community School has delayed their opening until Monday, after a common form of airborne mold was found on the second floor. The Weymouth Township School District has rescheduled their opening day to next Tuesday, as mold in their school building is cleaned up. Mold was also found in six classrooms and the auditorium at Ocean City High School. The high school remains open as cleanup crews work to remove the problem, caused in part by exceptionally high humidity overpowering the school’s HVAC systems.
