A vehicle disregarded a stop sign and an accident ensued on West Jersey Ave. in Egg Harbor Township Thursday morning. A 2013 Nissan van operated by Mustafa Cimen, 40 years of age from Egg Harbor Township, was travelling West on West Jersey Avenue in the area of Fernwood Avenue when a van disregarded the stop sign and pulled directly into its path. The 2007 Ford Caring van was operated by Akinola Fakolade, 47 years of age from Mays Landing, was travelling North on Fernwood Avenue when it disregarded the stop sign at West Jersey Avenue, pulled directly into the path of the Caring Van and was broadsided. The impact caused the Caring Van to overturn and its occupants had to be assisted from the vehicle. All involved in the accident were treated for minor injuries. Traffic was detoured for approximately 1 hour while the crash was being investigated and cleared.
