Miss Gloucester County won the Miss New Jersey Pageant, held Saturday night in Ocean City. 20 year-old Katharyn Nicolle won the competition over 22 other contestants from throughout the state. Nicolle is a student at Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pa. and will promote a service platform called “Reading for the Right Reason.” She won a $10,000 scholarship and a trip to the Miss America pageant held in January in Las Vegas. Miss Central Coast Katie Berry, 22, a part-time Ocean City resident, was second runner-up. Miss Cape May County Anna Negron, 19, a Seton Hall University student from Vineland, was fourth runner-up.
