The first night of preliminary competition was held on Tuesday for the 2016 Miss America Scholarship Pageant at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. The finals will be held on Sunday, September 13th at 9 PM. Winners were announced in Talent and Lifestyle and Fitness categories with corresponding scholarship awards. The Miss America Organization was founded in 1921 and is one of the nation’s leading advocates for women’s education and the largest provider of scholarship assistance to young women.
