MILLVILLE TO HOLD SPECIAL MEETING ON SICK TIME DONATION

The Millville City Commission has scheduled a special meeting for this Friday to introduce an ordinance that would permit city workers to donate their own vacation or sick time to fellow employees. The issue was raised when police officer Christopher Reeves was killed in the line of duty and fellow officers wanted to give his wife more paid time off from her job on the Millville police force. The state Civil Service Commission says that only 31 oer cent of local and county governments have adopted such a policy.
