MILLVILLE MAN ARRESTED ON WEAPONS CHARGES

A Millville man was arrested after a high speed chase by police n Hamilton Township. On Tuesday night at about 11:35 p.m., police officers were called to check on a suspicious vehicle on Philadelphia Avenue in Egg Harbor City. When approached by police the vehicle, with masked men inside, made an illegal U-turn and quickly fled, later crashing down an embankment at the end of Apple Street. Only one of the vehicle occupants, 20 year-old Kirk Williams of Millville, was arrested. Police found found two sawed-off shotguns, several face masks and pairs of gloves. Williams was sent to the Atlantic County Jail on $100,000 full cash bail.
