A special ceremony was held Tuesday at the Millville Airport, to mark the 75th anniversary of the airport’s dedication as the country’s first defense airport prior to U.S. involvement in World War II. The ceremony was held at the Millville Army Air Field Museum, that allows veterans and history buffs to preserve the history of the airport. Local and state officials were on hand for the celebration, and a Congressional citation was read by U.S. Rep. Frank LoBiondo.
