Democrats in the state legislature will try to override Governor Chris Christie’s rejection of a so-called “millionaires tax” in the Garden State. Democrats know it’s a long shot at best to override the veto, and the measure comes up for a vote in the state assembly. Republican leaders believe that not a single GOP member will vote in favor of the override, even though it’s a politically unpopular move. The measure would raise taxes for one year on anyone who’s income exceeds $1 million annually.
