Assembly Tourism and Arts Chairman Matthew W. Milam on Thursday announced the committee will visit Morris County on Tuesday hear testimony on the importance and benefits of tourism, the arts and historic preservation to New Jersey. The hearing will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 19, at the Field house, 107 Seminary Avenue, Chester.
“Tourism, arts and historic preservation jell together, and these industries, each vital to our economic well-being, are facing tough times, so we’ll work to make sure they’re positioned to succeed” said Milam (D-Cumberland/Atlantic/Cape May). “From ensuring our historic sites remain tourist destinations to ensuring our arts community throughout New Jersey remains first class, we have a lot of work to do. This is hearing is part getting that job done.”
