MIDDLE TWP. PRIVATIZES JANITORIAL SERVICES

In a cost cutting move The Middle Township committee awarded a janitorial services contract to A & J Cleaning Service of North Cape May for $16,900 a year. The Middle Township Gazette reports that the two janitors remaining on the Middle Township payroll were laid off Wednesday. The report says the annual  cost to the township of three full-time janitors was  over $186,000 in salaries and benefits. A & J Cleaning will clean Township Hall, the police station and construction office.
