Middle Township’s Jenna Herlihy drove the lane and scored the winning basket with under 40 seconds left in regulation to lift the Lady Panthers over Wildwood Catholic 40-38. Middle led most of the game but Wildwood Catholic took a one-point lead on Caitlin McMullan’s three-point shot with less than 50 seconds to go. Herlihy was the leading scorer with 15 points, 6 rebound and 3 steals. The second seeded Lady Panthers will next play #1 seed Ocean City, who beat Mainland 29-26 in the other semifinal game. The C.A.L. Championship will be decided on Saturday at noon at Richard Stockton University.
