On Thursday October 14, 2010, at approximately 1122hrs, the Middle Township Police Department received a “911” call of a motor vehicle crash, with injuries, at the Riggins gas station, located on US#9, in Cape May Court House.
Patrol officers along with Middle Township Rescue Squad, assisted by AtlantiCare Medic 3, responded to the scene to find that a 2dr red Pontiac, driven by; Marie Katarynak, age 85, of Cape May Court House, accidentally backed into a garage bay door, where Greg Kubiak, age 24, of Cedarville, NJ, was working on a tire. The impact pushed Kubiak through the bay door, into a pile of tires.
The victim was rushed to the National Guard Armory, where he was then flown to Atlantic City Medical Center, by Southstar. He has since signed himself out of the E.R. No final word on what injuries he suffered. The crash remains under investigation by Cpl. Crawley, and DFC McClure and Det. Osmundsen, of the Major Crimes Unit.
