MIDDLE TWP. BOYS TENNIS TEAM LOSES IN STATE SEMIFINAL

The Middle Township boys tennis team suffered their first loss of the season in the NJSIAA Group I semifinal match on Wednesday at Mercer County Park. The Panthers lost 3-2 to Central Jersey champs Highland Park, after winning their first South Jersey championship since 1977 earlier this week. Middle’s points came from wins by Joe Fala at second singles and Dan Fala and Rob Giuilan at first doubles, who won their match in a super tiebreaker, 6-7 (6-8), 7-6 (7-4), 10-6.
