Middle Township is looking for residents with an interest in landscaping and environmental preservation to serve on its Shade Tree Commission. In conjunction with Middle Township’s Public Works Department, the Shade Tree Commission regulates, plants, cares for and controls shade and ornamental trees and shrubbery along the streets, highways and public places of the township. Middle Township recently received a $382,500 No Net Loss grant through The New Jersey Forest Service which provides for the planting of 1,275 trees within the township, to replace trees lost due to the Parkway Interchange Project.
