On August 4, 2010 at 03:11 am Middle Township Police responded to the Economy hotel for a reported stabbing. When Officers arrived they found the victim bleeding from a stab wound in his arm. He was able to identify his attacker by his first name. Officers were able to locate the accused hiding in one of the hotel rooms. The knife used in the assault was recovered. James Novak, 54 years old from Del Haven, NJ, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was lodged in Cape May County Correctional Center on $15,000 bail.
