MIDDLE TOWNSHIP POLICE ADMINSTER NARCAN FOR FIRST TIME

A drug aimed at saving a life did so in Middle Township. Police there administered the drug to a woman believed to have suffered a drug overdose on Friday. The 20-year-old was given the narcan and the woman later regained consciousness. The subject was transported by Middle Township EMS to Cape Regional Medical Center and was listed in stable condition. The Middle Township Police Department Patrol Division started carrying Narcan this past week after all officers were trained. The Narcan kits were supplied by Cape May County Prosecutor Robert Taylor.
