A budget crisis has threatened the Middle Township fireworks this year, but a move to get private donations is attempting to save it. Deputy Mayor Nate Doughty solicited over 20 businesses in the community and asked for donations. A number of businesses, like Sturdy Savings Bank have jumped on board. Doughty says the township is still short of their goal and looking for more money. The fireworks will take place on July 4th at 9 p.m.
