MIDDLE TOWNSHIP HOLDS MEETING ON OCKIE WISTING RECREATION

The Middle Township Committee met at the Rio Grande Fire Hall on Monday to talk about an upcoming recreational project at the Ockie Wisting recreational site, formerly known as Fort Apache.  Township officials outlined plans for new passive recreational opportunities at the site.  Middle Township has successfully obtained funding from the Cape May County Open Space Program in order to facilitate many of the new recreational opportunities there.  The committee also discussed some organizational changes affecting its department of recreation.
