MIDDLE TOWNSHIP COMMITTEE TO ADDRESS MEDICAL TRANSPORT CHARGES

The Middle Township Committee meets this evening and is expected to introduce an ordinance that will set fees for medical transportation charges.  According to the official agenda for tonight’s meeting, the township will authorize a contract with a third-party billing agent who will issue a bill totalling $700 for each time emergency medical transport services are needed.   That bill will either go to a person’s insurance company, or be delivered directly to the person who needed the service.  The committee may also authorize support of a new no passing zone on Route 9 in the vicinity of Shellbay Avenue and King Street.
