Candidates running for office in Middle Township will appear at the old Cape May County Courthouse on Wednesday, October 10th. The Middle Township Taxpayers Association will sponsor a “Meet The Candidates Night” on Wednesday at 7pm, when the public will be able to ask questions of current Mayor Dan Lockwood, a Republican, and challenger Bill Sturm, a Democrat. Five candidates running for the Middle Township School Board will also be in attendance, will speak briefly and then answer questions. Mayor Lockwood and Bill Sturm are also expected to attend a meeting of the AARP No. 1182 of Middle Township earlier in the day at 12:30 p.m. That meeting is being held at the Samuel S. DeVico Senior Center at 23 Romney Place in Cape May Court House.
