Middle Township recently implemented new initiatives designed to make it easier for people to remit payments to the township. The township is hoping this will help increase collection rates. The Office of the Tax Collector has expanded its accepted payment methods. Residents may pay their taxes in-person or online via middletownship.com, and now have the added option of using a credit card. Payments made via credit card will be subject to a 2.5% fee. Online electronic check payments are subject to a $2.50 transaction fee. In the next few weeks, sewer bills will also be able to be paid similarly. As of last Thursday, the Middle Township Municipal Court has also begun accepting credit cards for in-person payment of court fees and criminal charges.
