MIDDLE THOROFARE BRIDGE TO CLOSE FOR TWO HOURS IN COLUMBUS DAY WEEKEND

A rare split vote on the Cape May County Freeholder Board this month regarding a potential two hour closure of the Middle Thorofare Bridge between Wildwood Crest and Lower Township.  A ten mile running race will occur on October 7th, on Columbus Day weekend, and the bridge needs to close to allow the runners to cross.  The board voted 3-2 in favor of closing the bridge during the weekend.
