MIDDLE THOROFARE BRIDGE BETWEEN WILDWOODS, CAPE MAY AREA TO GET MAJOR WORK

A $7.4 million rehabilitation of the Middle Thorofare Bridge between the Wildwoods and the greater Cape May area will begin the next week or two.  County officials announced that a contract has been awarded for the work, which will initially begin with railing replacements.  The bridge will also get new guide rails, a fender system, and major structural steel repairs.  There will be a one way alternating traffic pattern coming to the bridge to allow for the work to be done.
