MIDDLE POLICE RESPOND TO A REPORT OF SHOOTING

Middle Township Police responded to a report of a shooting in at the Christ Gospel Church on Route 9, in the Whitesboro section of the township on Saturday around 2 p.m. A white conversion style van fled north on Route 9, and eventually, the driver turned into a driveway on Shunpike Road and took off. Police set up a perimeter and took William Adams, of Whitesboro into custody. Adams was charged with marijuana possession and eluding a police officer. The shooting remains under investigation; no injuries were reported.
