MIDDLE COPS: WOMAN STEALS BOX TRUCK, LEADS POLICE ON A CHASE

Middle Township Police say a 28 year old woman stole a box truck and led police on a chase that eventually ended in Upper Township.  Police report that Melissa Lapworth of Rio Grande stole a West Side Meat box truck and drove through red lights before turning north on the Garden State Parkway and eventually collided with a truck owned by Atlantic City Electric.  She was found to be in possession of illegal narcotics.  Additional charges are pending.
