MIDDLE COPS CHARGE MAN WITH FIRING AT A CAGED DOG

He fired 70 shots from a BB gun into a cage containing a dog.  29 year old Nicholas Spurrier of Dias Creek has been charged by Middle Township Police on animal cruelty and other charges connected to the incident that occurred last month.  Police say the incident took place at the Animal Welfare Society on Route 47.  The dog survived, but a veterinarian could not remove all of the BB from its body.
