Our area is under a Winter Storm Warning and a Coastal Flood Warning through Tuesday morning.
Winter storm conditions are expected to begin today and last overnight into tomorrow. Snow and heavy winds will create hazardous driving conditions. Minor to Moderate tidal flooding is also expected with this storm. Motorists are encouraged to use extreme caution, or to avoid driving all together until road conditions improve.
High tide will occur at approximately 1:29 a.m early Tuesday morning. Flooding is likely to occur prior to the time of high tide and may last for several hours after high tide.
Vehicles should be moved from areas that typically experience tidal flooding well in advance of the time of high tide.
Many roadways in Ocean City will be impassable during this flooding. Please do not drive around barricades.
Motorists are also reminded that the entire length of West Avenue is designated as a snow emergency route and vehicles must be removed when the road is snow covered for snow plowing operations.
Residents, visitors and property owners are advised to continue to closely monitor weather conditions and forecasts for the next 24 hours.
