MENTAL ILLNESS FACILITY FOR CHILDREN IN VINELAND TO CLOSE

The state is closing two treatment facilities for mentally ill children, one of them is in Vineland. The announcement was made on Tuesday. The two publicly run facilities specialize in children who come from abusive families. The two facilities house 39 children. State officials say the children do better at home in general and is the reason for the closure. The facilities do cost $15.2 million to operate between state and federal money.
